| Basic Information | Portugal is located in southwestern Europe. The country has an land area of about 90,000 square kilometres, a coastline of more than 800 kilometres with multiple seaports. As of December 2021, the country had a population of 10.345 million. As of the end of 2018, Chinese immigrants accounted for about 5.2% of the Portuguese immigrants community. The capital is Lisbon. It is the national political, economic, financial, cultural and technological centre. |

The main areas of investment were energy, finance, insurance, communication, water affairs, construction materials, engineering design and catering. |
