Pecém Complex

Located between the municipalities of Caucaia and São Gonçalo do Amarante, 60 kilometers from Fortaleza, it occupies a large area of 13,337 hectares. The Pecém Complex is growing with the aim of developing the local, regional and national economy, moving steel materials, fertilizers, bulk and containers. The master plan divides the region into four sectors. The first is intended for thermoelectric plants and to the Pecém Steel Company (CSP); the second, to the refinery and petrochemical hub; the third, to the industrial area and the fourth, to the institutional area, services and EPZ. Large and strategic enterprises for Ceará are installed in the region. Currently, the Complex brings together 30 companies. There are already 22 in operation and the rest are in the implementation phase. Altogether, they created investments in the order of R$ 28.5 billion, generating 50.8 thousand jobs, both directly and indirectly.

The Pecém Complex consists of an industrial area, a port and an export processing zone.

The Pecém Complex offers:

  • Proximity to the main shipping lines connecting Brazil to Europe and North America;
  • An Export Processing Zone offering tax incentives to exporters;
  • Existing infrastructure with railway connection under construction to connect Pecém to the hinterland;

 

  • Global scale for business.
